Sam Honda Volunteer Award
This award was created in 2009 to honor long-time volunteers who are not presently board members. Named after a tireless volunteer, the award honors Sam Honda, who worked tirelessly at the Festival of Nations for many years. He could be counted on to jump in and help our committee without complaint. He recruited family members to help as well. He was a member of several other Japan related organizations which helped bridge the Japanese relationships within the Twin Cities.
Sam passed away in December 2009, but his memory will live on through this award.
